What is ChitoPro-F?
ChitoPro-F is a fungicide which provides broad spectrum suppression/ control toward a variety of plant pathogenic fungi and disease causing microbes. It is extremely effective against Fusarium, Phytophthora, rots, molds, other crop pathogens and diseases. It works equally well against soil-borne and foliar-borne fungal plant pathogens.
ChitoPro-F carries an EPA label and was recently approved as an EPA registered, end-use label fungicide to suppress/ control plant diseases listed on its label. ChitoPro-F can be used at pre planting, transplanting, post planting and at any time in the growth cycle. ChitoPro-F is an end use product.

ChitoPro-F’s proprietary formula features chitosan and quillaja as active ingredients.
Chitosan, a natural polymer derived from shellfish exoskeletons, is an EPA recognized antifungal agent. Chitosan has direct fungicidal/ fungistatic effects on disease causing organisms. Chitosan also works with the plant and soil biology to protect the plant and reduce disease incidence.
Quillaja is an extract from the soapbark tree, Quillaja saponaria. Both chitosan and quillaja have multiple modes of action and the combination of the two ingredients creates a synergistic effect against pathogenic fungi. Quillaja saponins exhibit fungicidal/ fungistatic effects and they also act as wetting agents assisting chitosan penetration in plant tissues and permeating the soil particles and interstices.
